On a crisp January (Friday 23rd) evening in Okotoks, the Viking Rentals Centre Hall came alive as guests gathered for the Okotoks Rotary Club’s Robbie Burns Dinner and Dance, celebrating Scottish tradition, community, and fellowship. Laughter filled the room as kilts, tartan, and festive attire set the tone for a memorable night.

Members and spouses from the Rotary Club of Calgary West were delighted to join in the fun. Tim and Linda Anderson, Steve and Linda Strang, Barbie and David Hames, and David Wartman and Katherine van Kooy all attended and thoroughly enjoyed the evening, sharing great food, music, and camaraderie.

The night featured the traditional Address to the Haggis, lively Celtic music, and energetic Highland dancing, along with a silent auction and 50/50 draw in support of Rowan House Society and other local causes. By the end of the evening, the dance floor was full and spirits were high—a wonderful reminder of the connections Rotary builds, both within clubs and across communities.
