A Year of Service, Fellowship, and Community Impact
2025 was a year defined by connection, commitment, and community for the Rotary Club of Calgary West. Through hands-on service projects, fundraising initiatives, and meaningful fellowship, members once again demonstrated what it means to live Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self.
From winter through year-end celebrations, the stories and images captured throughout the year reflect a Club that showed up — for each other and for the community.
One of the highlights of the year was the Calgary Stampede Parade Breakfast & Seating Event, a signature tradition that brought Rotarians together in true Western spirit. Members worked tirelessly behind the scenes — from early-morning setup to welcoming guests — to ensure a successful and memorable experience for the community.
This event showcased teamwork, hospitality, and pride in supporting one of Calgary’s most iconic celebrations.

🧹 Highway Cleanup
(June 2025)
Environmental stewardship remained an important focus in 2025. During the Highway Cleanup, members rolled up their sleeves to help keep Calgary’s roadways clean and safe. This hands-on service project reinforced Rotary’s commitment to caring for the environment while strengthening fellowship among participants.

☕ Kingdom Coffee Visit
(September 2025)
The Club enjoyed a meaningful visit to Kingdom Coffee, learning firsthand how social enterprise can create positive community impact. The visit provided insight into how purpose-driven organizations support employment and inclusion while building strong local connections.

🏌️ Annual Golf Championship
(September 2025)
The 2025 Golf Championship combined friendly competition with fellowship and fundraising. Members and guests enjoyed a fantastic day on the course, strengthening relationships while supporting the Club’s charitable efforts.
This annual event continues to be a favorite on the Club calendar.

🍽️ Feed the Hungry
(November 2025)
Service took center stage during Feed the Hungry, where Rotarians volunteered their time to support those in need. This impactful initiative reflected the Club’s ongoing dedication to addressing food insecurity and supporting vulnerable members of the community.

🏡 Children’s Cottage Society Visit
(October 2025)
The Club strengthened its community partnerships with a visit to the Children’s Cottage Society, learning about the vital services they provide to families in crisis. The visit reinforced Rotary’s commitment to supporting organizations that protect and empower children and families.

🎄 Pinebrook Christmas Brunch
(December 2025)
The year concluded on a warm and festive note with the Pinebrook Christmas Brunch. This special event brought members together to celebrate the holiday season, reflect on the year’s achievements, and enjoy fellowship in the true Rotary spirit.

🌟 Looking Back — and Ahead
As 2025 came to a close, the Rotary Club of Calgary West could take pride in a year filled with meaningful service, strong partnerships, and lasting friendships. Each event and initiative captured not only the work accomplished, but the spirit of Rotary that continues to guide the Club forward.
With gratitude for dedicated members, volunteers, and community partners, the Club looks ahead to another year of impact in 2026.
