Shana spent 10 years helping at-risk youth and supporting families in various roles at Hull Services, before changing her focus from social work to community development and the environment.  In 2012, she obtained a Masters of Science degree in Sustainable Development from the University of London in England,  and has also recently completed the Non-Profit Management Certificate Program through Mount Royal University. She believes that public engagement is key for helping preserve the natural world and to encourage responsible use of the amazing natural resource that is Fish Creek Provincial Park, and considers it an honour to work closely with so many volunteers, community groups and partners.  She is currently working in the Social Enterprise & Stewardship Manager role with the Friends.
