The Rotary Club of Calgary West welcomed 2026 with a well-attended New Year’s Day gathering at Sandy Beach Park. Members, families, and friends enjoyed coffee, hot chocolate, snacks, and plenty of fellowship. A heartfelt thank you to Barbie and David Hames and the Social Committee for organizing a warm and enjoyable way to start the year together.
The Rotary Club of Calgary West kicked off 2026 in great style at Sandy Beach Park on January 1, where members, families, and friends gathered for an afternoon of warm fellowship and winter fun. Despite the crisp winter air, the event was well attended, with coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks enjoyed by all as conversations and laughter filled the park. The welcoming atmosphere made for a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and celebrate the start of the New Year together. Attendees enjoyed spirited conversation around the crackling fire. A special thank you goes to Barbie and David Hames, along with our Social Committee, for organizing and hosting such an enjoyable and well-run event that brought our Rotary family together.
