Eventgroove
We are going to be using Eventgroove, which is a fundraising platform that District 5360 has approved, to use for the Move for Polio initiative.

Our club is registered for a club team page that club members, family, and friends can be linked to and signed up for to take part in the initiative.
Participants can enter their Actual kilometres ( AKM’s) and Equivalent kilometres (EKM’S).
Donations can be entered by the donor or the participant. Cash donations could be added by the Club Champion and credited to the correct participant. AKM’S & EKM’S pledges/donations will be tracked like a dashboard.

Measurable and Non-Measurable Activities to record hours

Measurable

• Activities where you can measure the distance you cover.
• These are called: Actual Kilometres (AKM’s).
• Examples of Measurable Activities: Walking, Running, Hiking, Swimming, Canoeing, Skateboarding, In-Line skating.
• For simplicity purposes - conversion of steps to AKM’s:

• 1,250 = 1 km
• 5,000 = 4 km
• 10,000 = 8 km

Non-Measurable

Activities that improve mental health and wellness but cannot be measured by kilometers.
With these we will use an equivalent measure: 15 minutes of Non-Measurable Activity is equal to 1 (one) Equivalent Kilometre (EKM).
Examples of Non- Measurable Activities: Fishing, Meditation, Puzzles, Journaling, Knitting, Reading, Sketching.
