CARE AND COMFORT 2022-2023
CALGARY WEST ROTARY:
- Is part of the global organization known as Rotary International;
- Is a group of leaders who serve to change lives locally and globally;
- Is committed to the principles of reconciliation as laid out in the report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada;
- Aims to work tireless toward Diversity, Equity and Inclusion both in our organization and throughout the world.
In our 2022-2023 Rotary year, we will focus on care and comfort not only for our members but for the communities we seek to serve at home and globally.
CARE: Our members are important and we seek to understand why they joined Rotary and what we can do to help them realize their Rotary dream of service above self - the way they Imagined Rotary when they joined.
We will seek to assist with community needs through projects that will educate and inspire the various interest groups operating within communities.
COMFORT: We aim to be there for our members in time of need and to provide support through manpower and fund raising to assist our members with the social projects they have chosen to champion.
We will work tirelessly to bring comfort to those in our community and globally who need our understanding and help - be it through continuing our commitment to End Polio; providing support through our funding raising projects such I Can for Kids, Shelter Box, and African projects; focusing efforts here and abroad to Empower Women and Girls to realize their potential; and working to increase awareness of the danger of “human trafficking” not only in the world but right here at Calgary
