Today’s speaker, introduced by Saadat, was Jeff Galatiuk, presenting information on public/private surgery.
| Jeff is a physiotherapist and specializes in advance manual and manipulative therapy and diagnostic imaging. He has extensive experience working with and for many sports organizations. He has a special interest in coordinating orthopaedic conditions requiring surgical consults, working with 2 partner MDs and a wide range of licensed and permitted practices. |
Jeff described the wonderful resources available through the clinic at the Glencoe Club, Denver, and both Canada wide and globally, to which he can coordinate essential referrals. He is extremely enthusiastic about the growing possibilities for orthopaedic surgery through 3D printing. Given the adoption of so many new methodologies elsewhere (e.g. Germany), he is disappointed in both the great hesitancy to provide the same services in Canada, and the complexities involved in both obtaining and funding many services.
Following several questions, Saadat thanked Jeff for his informative presentation.
