Field of Crosses

Sean Libin is a marketing and communications professional with more than 35 years of experience, and a long history of blending business expertise with community service.

He has produced and managed major charitable initiatives such as the Children’s Hospital Home Lotto, the Portraits of Honour National Tour, and Fire Aid, raising millions of dollars for causes across Alberta and Canada.  He’s a former Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Calgary at Stampede Park until he joined that national board of directors of Kin Canada for the Kinsmen and Kinettes.

Sean served in the Canadian Armed Forces in his early twenties and in 2011 he joined the Minister of National Defence and the Chief of the Defence Staff in Afghanistan on Remembrance Day with our troops at Kandahar Airfield.

When he returned he learned about Field of Crosses, which was still in its infancy and he has attended every Sunrise service since.  In 2023 Sean became Chairman of the Board of Field of Crosses and he works tirelessly to ensure the sacrifices of our veterans are never forgotten, and that future generations understand the cost of our freedoms.

Sean has been recognized with several national honours including the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers, Queen Elizabeth II’s  Diamond and Platinum Jubilee Medals and the King’s Coronation Medal.
